Ms. Virginia Flowers McClellan, daughter of the late Julius and Ida Jane Flowers, was born May 2, 1928 in Marion County, SC. Ms. Virginia married the Late William Henry McClellan in August 1944 and to this union two children were born, the late Knry, Jr. "Boe" and Linda.
During early 1960's, Mr. Henry and Ms. Virginia relocated to Washington, D.C. They resided in the nation's capital for a number of years. In 1970, they returned to Rains, SC. Ms. Virginia joined Russell Stovers Candies for many years until retirement. Mr. Henry joined Southern Packaging Company Warehouse and they became first time homeowners.
Ms. Virginia joined New Life Pentecostal Church and became an active member of the choir, usher, and missionary boards.
Ms. Virginia leaves to cherish with fond and loving memories, one daughter Linda McClellan of the home; a loving brother Elroy Pringle (Francis), loving Godson James Nelson (Joyce), loving Goddaughter Patricia Williams (David); cousin Clara Bennett, niece Willie Mae Gerald and Lenora Smith.
Affectionately known as "Fanma" to her grandchildren, Kimberly Wingate Thomas (Jeffrey), Joanne Reid (Reginald), Thomas Miller, III (Shana), and Eric McClellan whom preceded her in death.; Great grandchildren: Charmaine Ferguson, Walter Robinson, Raven Legette, Shawn Williams, Kase Legette, Quintez Miller, Dayton Miller, Domonic Haire and Desi Jackson; six great-great grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
