Valli Lee Wheeler

The spirit of Valli Lee Wheeler (BKA Val) departed her body on April 20, 2018 at her home.  Valli was born in Mullins, SC to the late Thomas & Ernestine Legette.

Valli was affectionately known.  She attended the Public Schools of Marion County.  She was employed by Marvel Light, SoPakCo, and Russell Stovers Candy Company for 32 years.

Valli was a very respectful, friendly, loving, and outgoing person.  She would do anything for anybody.  Vallie joined Mill Creek Baptist Church at an early age.  Valli always kept a smile; she will be deeply missed.

Valli Lee Wheeler was preceded in death by her husband, James Allen Wheeler Sr., her brother Thomas Legette, Levern Legette, (2) sisters, Valaire Legette, Lou Ellen Legette, (1) son James Allen Wheeler Jr. & (1) daughter Shirley Wheeler.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Linda Faye Jones and Katrina Wheeler of Mullins, SC; 2 son Christopher Wheeler of Mullins, SC; 2 sisters Beverly Wheeler of Florence, SC and Betty Pompey of Mullins, SC; 3 brothers, Johnny Legette of Chicago, IL, Osbie Legette and Douglas Legette, both of Mullins, SC; 24 grandchildren, 1 preceded her in death; 17 great grandchildren, 3 preceded her in death, 17 great grandchildren, 3 preceded her in death; 1 great-great grandchild, 1 adopted grandson: Quan Gillard; 1 adopted granddaughter Naterria Wilson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and a multitude of relatives, and friends; 1 special friend, Ronald (Ricky) Jackson.
