Thomas Freison Lewis was born on May 10, 1936 to James Freison Lewis and Rosena Simon in Fork, S.C. He transitioned on March 01, 2021 at the age of 84. Thomas better known by those close to him as “Tommy Dick” was educated at Columbus High School where he received his High School Diploma. Tommy joined the Navy in 1955 and was released from active duty in 1957 with an Honorable Discharge.
On April 9, 1960, Tommy married Edna Marie Ford. They had two children, Rodney and Derick Kendall Lewis. Tommy’s passion was cooking which he loved and led to his employment as a cook in several restaurants for over 40 years. After retirement he enjoyed life doing what he loved, playing numbers, having card games, and going to the casino. He lived in Kings County Brooklyn, NY.
Tommy leaves to mourn his loss, his live in partner for over 30 years, Marilyn Crews; two sons Rodney (Kimberly) and Derick (Maryann Legaspi); three siblings Lee (Irene), Betty Avery (Offie), Alfonzo (Elouise); Five Grand Children Terrence, Derick Jr., Sydney, Cameron and Taylor; one great-granddaughter, Victoria.
Tommy will be remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and neighbors.
