Shannon Deloris Nelson

Shannon Nelson was born on September 15^th, 1975 in Marion County, SC to the late Rose Nelson.

Shannon entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 29^th, 2020 at Prisma Health in Columbia, South Carolina.

Shannon attended Marion County Schools and graduated from Mullins High School in 1993. After graduation, she went straight into the workforce and started working at Russell Stover’s Candies in Marion, SC in 1994 until 1998.

In 2010, Shannon relocated to Columbia, SC where she joined The Breakthrough Covenant Christian Center in West Columbia, SC.

Shannon was a loving and warm-hearted person that loved people. She had a compassionate spirit and loved to help anyone in need. Shannon was a devoted mother who went above and beyond for her kids. She was also a loving grandmother, sister, and friend.

Shannon was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Nelson and sister April Guerra.

Shannon leaves to cherish her precious memories, two children, her son Tyreke (Taliyah) Williams of Florence, South Carolina and daughter Shania Staley of the home; two grandchildren King and Kash Williams of  Florence, SC;  two brothers, Shawn Nelson of Doraville, GA and Juain Nelson of Mullins, South Carolina; one sister Monique (Keith) Parks of Lexington, South Carolina; four nieces, Shakira, Kailen, Madisynn, & Aubrey; eight nephews, Ryan, Eric, Juain Jr, Jamarion, Jaylen, Cameron, & Julian; a great nephew Josiah & great niece Jordyn; two aunts Dora (Lacy) Rogers, Katie (Carl) Brunson,  one uncle, Robert “Junebug” Nelson all of Mullins, South Carolina and a host of other relatives and friends. A very special friend Mr. Tyron Reaves of Maryland.
