Ronald Godbolt

Ronald Leverne Godbolt, affectionately known as “Ratt” was born on August 25, 1973, in Marion County to the late Leverne Godbolt of Rains, South Carolina and Kay Frances Godbolt of Mullins, South Carolina. He departed this life on August ,17 2023, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston after a brief illness.

Ratt attended Marion County Public Schools. In 1994, he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he worked and lived for more than 20 years. He was employed by B&C Associates with the Marion County Health Department and Molly’s Florist. He had a deep love for fishing. This was a daily activity for him after a long day’s work. You could find him at the “Ditch,” New Bridge or with an invitation, at anyone’s private lake or pond. He loved collecting eagles and favorite NFL team was the Dallas Cowboys.

He was proceeded in death by his loving Grandmother, Roxie Godbolt; Aunts: Doris Moore, Hattie Moore and Alice “Mae” Godbolt; Uncles: Henry Godbolt and Leroy “Pink” Davis. Sister; Jennifer Raysor.

Ronald leaves to cherish loving memories two sons: Jaiheme Godbolt of Cleveland, OH, ReShawn Godbolt and Domonique Dearmore, of Las Vegas, NV; siblings: Ronnie (Tonya) Godbolt of Summerville, SC, Denise Godbolt of Hope Mills, NC, Deloris Gerald of Charlotte, NC. Tamela (Bryan) Johnson of Mullins, SC, Sara Godbolt-McIver of Florence, SC, Barbara Ann and Pamela Nichols of Mullins, SC, and Maurice Leonard., Two Aunts: Ruby Vance of Mullins, SC and Linda Thomas- Davis of Barstow, California. 4 grandchildren: Alexus, Jaxton, and Xana Dearmore of Las Vegas NV and Achilles Godbolt of Cleveland, Ohio. Special friend of 28 years, Michelle Dearmore. His “BFF” Linette Grant-Eubanks, his “Road Dawg” Mary Davis-Lester and his “brother from another mother” Michael Hayes. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
