Roland Tisdale III

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want Psalm 23:1

                Roland Tisdale, III also better known as “Junior” entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC.

                Roland was born September 20, 1969 to the union of the late Roland Tisdale and Geraldine Tisdale, at an early age, he joined Bethlehem A.M.E Church in Rains, SC. His warm smile and generous spirit touched everyone he knew. To know him was to love him. There was something unique about Roland that drew people to him, the young and old.

                Roland was a 1987 graduate of Mullins High School in Mullins, SC. In 1996 Roland earned a Bachelor of Science Computer Information Systems, from DeVry University.

                Roland’s career started in 1994 as a Programmer/Analyst with Alltel Information Services. In 1997, he expanded his career into Independent contracting for several of the top telecommunication companies. During his tenure with LHS Communication, Roland worked on the team that developed the first billing system for wireless telephone service in the USA. Over the past two decades, Roland has been instrumental in helping some of the top technology companies grow and provide the various services that we’ve all become dependent upon today. Those companies are AY&T, Cingular Wireless, Alltel, and Georgia Tech.

                Roland, is survived by his mother, Geraldine Tisdale of the home; one sister, Catina Tisdale of Marion, SC; one brother Travis(Heather) Tisdale of Mullins, SC; two nephews, Quinton and Travis Roland of Mullins, SC; two nieces, Makayla and Aliyah Tisdale of Mullins, SC; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

                Roland was preceded in death by his father, Roland Tisdale, Jr.
