Robert Wortham

Robert Wortham departed this life on February 4, 2020 in York SC.

     He was born in Marion County on May 20,1957 to the late Lela and Elbert Anthony, and Ralph Hayes Sr. He was a member of the True Faith Deliverance Temple where he served as Deacon, President of the Brotherhood Department and President of the Male Choir. He was a 1975 graduate of Mullins High School.

     He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories; his wife of 43 years, Valerie Wortham. Two children: Quincy (Tina) Gerald of Mullins, SC and Kashua (Jonathan) Guy of York, SC. His father; Ralph Hayes Sr of Mullins, SC. Five grandchildren; Nyshaun Guy, Sanaa Gerald, Tiyana Rayford, Alyssa Guy and Jordan Smith. Twenty siblings; Mary Nixon of Mullins, SC, Elsie Anthony, Bertha Stackhouse, Evelina (Carlite) Grant all of Augusta, Ga, Elbert (Hattie) Anthony Jr, Jean Hayes, Sarah (Don) Hollis, Brenda Johnson all of Mullins, SC, Micheal Anthony of Florence, SC, Cheryl Scott of Marion, SC, Barry (Alfeda) Moore of Marion, SC, Hilda (Reginald) Vereen of Florence, SC, Tony Hayes, Michael Hayes and Paula Hayes, Angela Smith all of Mullins, SC, Amy (Lorenzo) Brown of Mullins, SC, Ralph Hayes Jr of Florence, SC. Proceeding him in death, two sisters; Linda Legette and Shirley Wortham and one brother in law, Paul Hayes. His in-laws; Ardell Gerald, Fletcher (Vera) Gerald Jr, Phyllis (Johnny) Green, Larry (Lyria) Gerald, Thomas (Brenda) Washington, Virginia (Herbert) Timmons and Lorenzo Legette. One aunt; Letha (Willie) Roach of Washington, DC. His adopted sister; Lorraine Crawford. His adopted daughter; Marquilla Hamilton. Proceeding him in death, his adopted mother, Mrs. Dorothy Hughes and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
