RC Coleman was born on September 2, 1941 in Dillon County to Carson and Ernestine Coleman. He departed this life on December 13, 2020 at Long Island Jewish Hospital, Long Island, New York.
RC was known for his charismatic personality, smile, sense of humor, charm and genuinie love for people. He converted and joined Little Mt. Zion of South Carolina at a young age. He dedicated his life to God first, family and friends. He was always there to listen and motivate others.
He came to New Yorik City and did it his way! When RC Coleman moved to New York City, he became an entrepreneur with several businesses. He became the owner of a car service, a mechanic shop, as well as mutliple bars and lounges. RC loved race cars, especially classic cars and spending time with family and friends. He was always there to guide and assist his family, friends, as well as strangers, or simply any one in need. He never turned his back on anyone.
His Motto was Always—“Treat people the way you want to be treated and don’t hurt something that you love.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, his children Priscilla and Tony, and his sister Joyce Coleman Casey. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Martha Coleman; a blended family with children Marshall (Ann), Jerome (Monique), Shawn, Chris, Jimmy, Miguel, Shirley, Sheila (Marty), Christina (Darel), Sandra (Antoine) and Emerald; grandchildren: Crystal, Cassandra, Natisa, Renada, Clifton, Milan, Priscilla, Marshall Jr., Chloe, Cheyanne, Pilar, Jerome Jr., Jameek, Catina, Richard, Rodney, Lavan, Shakira, Shameeyah, Antoine Jr., Brian, Delondre, Star, Diamond, Kristen, Christopher Jr., Christian, Prince and Bishop and Bishop; great-grandchildren: Kaire, King, Ma’Kayla, Daquann, Angelina, Kioni, Morelia; 9 siblings and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, along with a countless number of friends.
