Bishop Albert Pressley Wilson, affectionately known as “Boo” was born December 26, 1953, in Mullins, South Carolina. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Horace Wilson Sr., and Mrs. Eliza Pressley Wilson. He departed this life on August 16, 2022, with his devoted wife, Claudette Wilson, by his side.
Albert was a graduate of Mullins High School Class of 1972. He later attended Florence Darlington Technical College majoring in Business. He was employed with CP&L/Progress Energy as a Transmission Linemen for over 27 years.
His journey to Christ began as a member of Beulah United Methodist Church as a child. He later attended Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church with his family and was ordained as a Deacon. In 2002, Deacon Albert and Pastor Claudette founded Serenity Faith Ministry. Deacon Albert was later ordained as a Pastor in 2012. He continued to grow in Christ and was ordained as a Bishop on August 11, 2018.
Albert was a dedicated husband and loving father. His capacity for love and kindness extended to all those he came in contact with. His pleasant demeanor and personality were always welcoming to family and friends. He loved sharing stories, watching western tv shows, working on household projects, and above all else, sharing the Word of Christ.
Celebrating the life and love he shared are his wife and best friend for over 50 years, Claudette; sons Kendrick (Melinda) and Cedric (Vanessa). He is preceded in death by daughter, LaTina. Nine grandchildren, Tasha, Chris, Shalice, Jada, Kailik, Kayla, Jalik, Zy’Asia, and Kennedy; six great-grandchildren, Ky’Shawn, Jayln, Miles, My’Kayla, Karsyn and Da’Zionna; four sisters, Ms. Mary H. Wilson of East Orange, NJ, Mrs. Wanda W. Tutt of Aiken, SC, Ms. Geraldine Wilson of Augusta, GA and Ms. Linda F. Wilson of Columbia, SC; twin brother, Halbert (Toni) Wilson of Paterson, NJ; Mother-in-law, Carolyn Ford Mullins; four sisters-in-law, Patricia, Christine, Jan, and Regina; two brothers-in-law, Curtis (Tabitha) and Jackie, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Also, preceding Albert in death, three brothers, George R. Wilson, Leroy Wilson, and Horace Wilson, Jr. and two sisters, Mrs. Frances Wilson Jackson, and Mrs. Dorothy Wilson Gerald.
