Revelations 2:10 “Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.”
Neal Mullins, a proud Marine veteran, passed away at the age of 74 on Saturday, March 18, 2023, in Florence, South Carolina. He was born on Wednesday, January 5, 1949, in Kingstree, SC, to Tom and Lillie Mae (Salters) Mullins and was the seventh of ten children. Neal attended Mullins SC public schools before being drafted to serve in the Vietnam War.
Neal served his country with honor and distinction as a member of the United States Marine Corps. He was a brave and dedicated marine, always willing to put himself in harm's way for the sake of his fellow Marines and his country. He served until he was honorably discharged, and he always remained proud of his service to his country.
After his time in the military, Neal settled in the Bridgeport, CT, area, where he worked hard to support his family. Eventually, he returned to his hometown of Mullins, SC, and later moved to Marion, SC. Neal was a proud Christian and a devoted member of the Nazarene Baptist Church. He loved his family deeply and prayed for each of them individually every night before bed.
In his free time, Neal enjoyed watching sports, sitting on the back porch listening to gospel music on the radio and cooking for his family. He was known for his delicious grilled meals and his love of cooking, and he always made sure that his family was well-fed and happy.
Neal Mullins will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his legacy as a brave Marine, a devoted Christian, and a loving family man will live on forever. His service to his country and his community will never be forgotten, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
