Michael Earl Tart was born January 31, 1962, in Marion County, SC. He was the son of Monroe Tart Jr. and the late Blondell Reaves Tart Berkley. He departed this earthly life Thursday evening, May 27, 2021 at McLeod Regional Hospital in Florence, SC.
He attended school in Mullins, SC and graduated from Mullins High School in 1980. Michael was a member of Nazarene Baptist Church until he moved to Nichols, SC and joined First Friendship Baptist Church. He then moved to Gene’s Residential Care in Florence, SC after the 2016 flood. He was preceded in death by his mother Blondell Tart Berkley, grandmothers- Mrs. Bertha Reaves and Mrs. Willenar B. Tart; grandfathers- Mr. Mack Reaves and Mr. Monroe Tart, Sr; three uncles- W.C. Reaves, James Tart and Rev. Dr. Truman C. Tart; three aunts- Mrs. Bertha Brunson, Mrs. Irene D. Page, and Mrs. Cereser Smith.
Left to cherish his fond memories his father Monroe Tart, Jr. (Charlotte); one brother Josiah Sanders (Rosa); four aunts Ruth Reaves, Patricia Gerald, Lauretha Hodge and Margaret Tart; cousins that were like sisters: Brandy Ford, Tampa Crawford, Berletter Crawford and Tangie Reaves and a host of other cousins and friends.
