Melissa Sherry Israel

On Wednesday October 11th, 2023 Melissa Sherry Israel was called home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ. Melissa affectionately known as, Lisa, suffered a brief illness and passed away peacefully at McLeod Regional Hospital located in Florence, SC with love one’s present by her side.

Melissa was born in Mullins, SC to the proud parents, Doris and Earl Israel on April 29th, 1973.  She was the baby of her of four siblings.

Melissa attended the public-school system in Marion County, and graduated Mullins High School in 1993.

She was employed with Arvin Meritor for 10 years as a machine operator and she enjoyed her job and made many friends there. After parting from Arvin Meritor, Melissa, served a devoted caregiver for her sister and father before their passing’s.

Melissa was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Although she was quiet around most, she shined brightly around those closest to her. Some of her hobbies were cooking, baking, and taste testing what other’s prepared.

She was proceeded in death by mother Doris Israel, father Earl Israel, sisters Sara Bell and Dorothy Israel.

Melissa leaves to cherish one daughter, Lekisha Israel of Mullins, SC. Three grandchild Lucas, Noah, and Reghan Hayes of Mullins, SC. One sister, Angela Moore, of the home. One brother, Leroy Moore, of Mullins, SC. A special niece of the home Shantiea Israel. Two other nieces and two other nephews of Mullins, SC. One special great nephew, Ashton Brown, of Florence, SC. One great-nephew and one great-niece. A God-son, Jakeylin Hayes, of Mullins, SC, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
