Leroy Mason

Leroy “Roy” Mason departed this life on Monday, March 15, 2021 at his home. Roy was born on July 23, 1952 to the late Mildred “Piggy” Mason and the late Nathan Owens in Marion County, SC.
 

He was the first of eight children. In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Louise Mason; two brothers Clint Mason and Leon Mason; one aunt Little Mary Rouse, and one uncle James E. Mason.
 

Roy loved the Lord and accepted him as his savior. Roy attended the public schools of Dillon County and he worked many jobs. He was last employed with Harbor Freights, Dillon, SC. Roy was a jack of all trades.
 

Loving memories of his life will be cherished by a special companion of the home, Gearline Staley; five sons: Terrance Williams, Julius Mason, both of Mullins SC, Brutis Stokes of New Jersey, Terrell Robinson of Boston MA, and Phillip Weeks of Nichols SC; one stepson Henry Staley of Mullins SC; two grandchildren; four sisters: Elaine Woodberry (Tom) of Mullins SC, Deborah Thompson of Marion SC, Carolyn Staggers of Mullins SC and Bertha Mason of Mullins SC; one uncle Jerry (Olivia) Mason of Florence SC; four aunts: Louise Grainger, Betty Ruth Mason, both of Syracuse, NY, Annie Ruth Legette of Columbia SC, Ethel Edwards of Philadelphia PA; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
