Kem Davis Nance was born on May 30, 1959 to the late Louis and Lois Davis and departed this life Saturday, October 24, 2020 after a brief illness.
She was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Center under the leadership of Rev. Eric S. Pompey; she served as President of the Faith Baptist Center Inspirational Choir, served with both the Pastor’s Aide and the Outreach ministries as well as The Abigail Timmons Traveling Committee.
Kem, known to many as “Monk” was a devoted wife, very loving, caring and energetic person who always had a love for baking, decorating, planting flowers and traveling. She kept a beautiful smile on her face. She was a graduate of Mullins High School Class of 1978. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at MUSC Nursing Home in Mullins, SC.
She is preceded in death by her parents Louis & Lois Davis; brothers: Stanley Davis, Louis Davis, Jr. and sister Abigail Davis Timmons.
She leaves to cherish in loving memory: her husband Jerome Nance; four brothers: Douglas Davis, James (Brenda) Davis, Henry Earl Davis, Larry Deon Davis; one sister: Natalie Godbolt; one brother-in-law: Rembert Timmons; three special nieces she raised as her own: Shanon Davis, Jessica (Dewayne) Legette and Tonya (Ronnie) Godbolt; two Godchildren: JaRon and Aneisia Godbolt; five aunts: Agnes D. Hughes, Dorothy Godbolt, Miriam (Linwood) Chestnut, Gloria (Jerry) Wilson & Jeanette Pee Logan; one great aunt: Sarah Phillips; six uncles: Franklin, Eugene, Clarence and LeGrand Davis, Jimmy Pee and Wallace (Brenda) Pee all of Mullins, SC and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Special Friends: Justina Smith of Charlotte NC, Joyce Myers Tamara Davis, Diane Faulk, Pat and Ann English of Mullins.
