John Henry Lewis entered into eternal rest on the morning of February 27, 2018. Pee Wee, as he was affectionaely known, was born on December 20, 1947 in Marion County, SC to the late Bradley and Emma Lewis.
Pee Wee was educated in the Marion County Public School system. After school he relocated to New Jersey where he held a cooking position at Princeton University. He returned home and worked various jobs: SoPakCo, Paul Stewart's Trucking Co., Atkinson Farms (Dupree) and Kathey King's Cleaning Service.
Pee Wee was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church of Mullins, SC.
Those who preceded him in death are his parents, his siblings, Alton (Daddy Boy), Willie James (WJ), Jerry, Bradley Mae, Span and Teron; one nephew: Roscoe (Stick) Gerald.
Pee Wee leaves behind to cherish his wonderful memories his dedicated and loving sister: Susan Frances Lewis Legette of the home; two aunts: Anna Davis of Mullins, SC and Viola Lewis Taylor of Baltimore, MD.
He leaves a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends to cherish his memory. One special cousin: Troy Reaves, Jr.; friends from childhood: Terry Williams, Richard (Sing Sing) Miles, Joe (Little Joe) Owens, Booker (BT) Gordon, Queen Ester Lewis, and the late Levon Willard.
