Our dearly beloved mother, Joan B. Stackhouse was born on September 20th, 1936 in Mullins, SC. She departed this life on Monday, June 5th, 2023.
Joan graduated from Palmetto High School in Mullins, SC and attended Francis Marion University where she pursued education.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roosevelt Stackhouse Sr., and daughter Suzette Smith.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Roseann (Maurice) Williams of Washington DC., Deborah Chisolm of Lancaster, PA, and April Gause of Mullins, SC; Two sons, Roosevelt Stackhouse Jr. of Mullins, SC and Anthony Stackhouse of Columbia, SC. One adopted son: Mitchell Genwright. Ten grandchildren, James Platt Jr., Adrian Platt, Joan Shakoor, Anea Gause, Reanna Gause, Ron Gause Jr., Andrea Stackhouse, Anthony Stackhouse Jr., Edwin Smith Jr., Anthony Moody, Corey Moody, Kelvin Stackhouse; and a host of great grandchildren, relatives, and friends.
