James Epps Jr.

Mr. James Epps Jr. Known to family and friends as “Bunny” departed his life on Sunday June 6, 2022 after a brief period of illness. He was born November 14, 1944 in Marion County.  He is preceded in death by his mother Mrs. Minnie Epps and father Mr. James Epps Sr.

“Bunny” was educated in the Marion County public schools and retired from Golden Grains in Nichols, SC after over 20 years of service. He was a devoted member of Friendship Baptist Church #2 where he attended for several years until the flood of 2016 devastated the town of Nichols. He relocated to Myrtle Beach and resided with his daughter Nicole for 2 years. He then regained his independence and relocated back to Marion County to reside in the Little Pee Dee Manor where he met several new neighbors and friends. Bunny loved to get together with his daughter and go eat fish at the local Fish House. His favorite pastime was to stay home, watch TV and enjoy his retirement.

James leaves to cherish his memories to his devoted daughter Nicole Campbell of Myrtle Beach SC; A devoted cousin Deborah Briston of Mullins, SC; A niece Renaye Thompkins of Myrtle Beach, SC; a devoted friend Shirley Owens of Nichols, SC; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
