JOSEPH WILLIAMS

     Joseph Williams was born on March 15, 1950 and was the 7 th child of the late John and Hermena Williams of Mullins, SC. Joseph Williams departed his life on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at MUSC Medical Center, Florence, SC after a brief illness.

     He was educated in the Mullins School System. Joseph was employed at Mullins Leaf Tobacco Company. He traveled with Mullins Leaf and it took him various places. He married Martha Bennett in 1976 and made their home in Mullins SC where they both were born and raised.

     Joseph was preceded in death by his sister Bernice and two brothers Henry and James.

     He leaves his wife, Martha B. Williams of Columbia, SC; 4 children: Joseph Jr. and Cindy of the home, Cassandra Williams of Columbia, SC, Muhammada Campbell of Mullins, SC; 1 god-daughter Pearline Battle; 5 sisters: Tristine Williams of New Jersey, Thelma Blake (Arthur) of California, Ada Campbell (Frank) of NC, Sherby Gore of TN; 2 brothers: Gene Williams (Sue) of California, James Owens of NC; 1 sister-in-law, Linda Bennett and 3 brothersin-law: Fred Steel (Marie), James Bennett and Charles Bennett; 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
