Our beloved Herbert Lee Franklin, grew up under the watchful eyes of his parents Laudo (Lotto) &Lizzie Franklin. Herbert was the sixth child of eight. Herbert was affectionately known as “Hub Cap” to some because of his love for trucks, and “Lock-Back” by his friend William Penn Troy.
Herbert graduated from Terrells Bay High in 1958.
He also work at Marvel Lamp, Pilliod Furniture, Marion Cement and Lewis Trucking Company
He married Louise Floyd Franklin. He was very close to his family and was one happy comedian.
He joined St. Mary AME Church as a child and was converted at an early age. He was a faithful member of the choir and his favorite song was “Walk With Me”.
Herbert’s duties in church were as following: Class Leader, Steward, President of the Male Choir, The Finance Team and He was the Chaplin of The Sons Of Allen.
He leaves to mourn his loving Wife Louise, children, Herbert White (Andrea) of Charlotte, NC, Kenneth White of Leland, NC, Ronnie Hamer of Charlotte, NC, Tonya Legette of Marion, SC, Cynethia Allison of Columbia, SC, Joshua and Edward Franklin of Marion, SC.
