Henry Yates

Junior, as he was more affectionately called, graduated from Mullins High School in the class of   1972.  He then worked many jobs across Marion County, including but not limited to Marvel Lighting Company, Mullins Hospital, and Marion County Medical Center.  He even graced the airwaves with his melodic voice as a DJ for WJAY 1280 AM. 

On December 5, 1997, Junior wed in Holy Matrimony to Clara Mae Washington-Williams.

Junior was preceded in death by both of his parents.  He leaves to treasure his priceless memories; His wife of 24 years, Clara of the home; two sisters: Henrietta B. “Mutt” Yates and Priscilla Genwright of Marion, SC; two children from a previous marriage, Bridgette Danielle yates of Georgetown, SC and SFC Henry “Trey” Yates, III of Hagerstown, MD; six children he devotedly embraced as his own, sons: Marvin Williams, Jr and Samuel Williams of Mullins, SC, Charles (Tina) Williams of Charlotte, NC and Travis (Shatonya) of Charlotte, NC and daughters: Janie Williams of Columbia, SC and Gladys (Erik) Ceo of Mullins, SC; three special grandchildren: Deiontre Yates, Joseph Williams, Cortney Williams as well as a host of other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
