Obituary

Helen Margaret Emely Inniss Fullard was a beloved mother, wife, sister, cousin, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of many with her kindness, compassion, and vibrant spirit.


Born in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago on January 1, 1949, Helen was the second child of Arthur and Rosa Inniss. From a young age, it was evident that she possessed a unique zest for life and an unwavering determination to make a positive impact on the world around her. She attended Ideal High School in Belmont, Trinidad, W.I. Later, in 1971, she moved to the United States where she met her husband, Wiley, in New York.

She loved traveling extensively and enjoyed venturing through the East Coast from Canada to Florida, creating many friendships and cherished memories throughout her life. Helen was passionate about sharing music with others and was gifted in playing the steel pan drum and harmonica. She could often be found sharing her talents with many, including those who invited her to play at prestigious events.


Helen's passing on May 15, 2023, leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved and admired her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience that will continue to inspire generations to come.

She is predeceased by her loving husband, father, and mother. She is survived by her three children Jason Fullard, Noel (Mary) Fullard, and Marvin Fullard, as well as siblings Courteney (Chloe) Inniss, Grace (Joel) Caplan, Rosalind (Andrew) Brown, and Richard (Satti) Inniss, and grandchildren: Jaquar Drakeford, Cyanna Fullard, and Malik Fullard.

Helen is survived by her in-laws: Douglas Fullard, Billy Fullard, LaNell Nelson (Leroy), Lucille Moody (Scott), Alfrieda Procher, Shirley Davis, Bernice Campbell, Olivia Muldrow, Phyliss Godfrey, Randolph Campbell, Marvin Campbell, Ricky Campbell and predecessed by Joe Fullard, Jr, Jacqueline Fullard, Vernecia Bromell, Bernard Campbell, Shepherd Campbell, Charles Campbell, Helen Ann Campbell


Helen is survived by her cousins: Noel Inniss, Rosemary Batson, predecessed by Lynette (Oval) Thorne, Martin Batson.


Friends of 40+ years: Noleen Phillip, Lucille Dyson, Angela Guthrie, Carolyn Hill, Minnie White, Ronette Hughes, Nathanial Charles, Janie Stuckey, Almira Latson, Diana Dundas, Charity DeVere, Vera Peterson, Marilyn Drakes, Louise Betoncough, Joy Betoncough.

She is survived by a litany of Nieces, Nephews and Friends that will miss her larger-than-life smile and boisterous laugh.
