On Thursday, December 3, 2020 God called one of His angels home to live eternally. Mr. Harmon J. Genwright peacefully entered eternal rest at MUSC Health Marion Medical Center Marion, South Carolina.
Mr. Harmon J. Genwright was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Fladger Genwright on May 9, 1930 in Marion County. He was educated in the Marion County Schools. At an early age he joined Centerville Baptist Church, Centenary, SC. and later moved his membership to Everbee Baptist Church, Smithboro, SC
Mr. Harmon Genwright honorably served in the United States Army active duty from November 1953 to November 1955.
He was joined in holy matrimony to Willia Dean Reaves and to this union there were eight children.
Preceding him in death along with his parents; one brother, Moses Genwright, three sisters; Molly Mae Jamison, Mattie Mae Graves, Betty Lou Boston and one daughter, Jean Carolyn Garner.
Mr. Harmon leaves to cherish fond memories his wife: Willa D. Genwright of the home; seven children: Johnny (Ramelita) Genwright of Sumter, SC., Marvin (Lynne) Genwright of Mullins, SC., Margie Horton of Dillion, SC., Sharon (Marvin) Pierce of Brunswick, Ga., Sherry Taylor of Brunswick, Ga., Michael Genwright of Columbia, SC., Lisa (Terrone) Miles of Marion, SC., 26 grandchildren, and 38 great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
