Gertrude "Gert" Harrell was the daughter of Mable J. Black and Collis Harrell. Gertrude was born December 28, 1958 in Marion County, SC. She took her spiritual flight on the morning of Saturday, July 9, 2022.
Gertrude Harrell worked for Rock Solid Janitorial Inc. of Virginia for several years. She also worked at So-Pak-Co in Mullins, SC for many years. She loved to cook. Some of her favorite things to prepare were fried fish and seafood dishes. Gertrude was passionate about fishing, braiding hair, sewing, crocheting blankets, and walking. She enjoyed choir programs, and while attending she was sure to have a peppermint handy and enough to share. Most of all she loved praising the Lord. She made sure she got her praise on for the Lord.
Gertrude was the mother of three children. She was preceded in death by her only son Tarrance Harrell, grandson Jah'Keem Harrell, siblings Andrew (Victoria) Jones, Jeanie Lou Jones Lewis, Joyce Harrell, Peggy Harrell and Lucille Harrell-Page; Gertrude was survived by her two daughters: Jocelyn Harrell, Bonita (Jay) Harrell; granchildren Jashai Harrell, JaNeisha Grant, JaNadia Grant; two great grandchildren Kingstyn Grant and Khyson Legette; two sisters Linda Harrell-Davis, Angela Harrell of Virginia; four aunts Inez Hedmon of Marion SC, Hattie Sharp of Las Vegas NV, Mary Page of Rochester NY, Delilah Capers of Regalwood NC; a host of nieces: Mollie (Calvin) Mack, Annie (Bobby) Legette of Mullins SC, Irene Jones of Virginia, Nicole Campbell, Renee Thompson of Myrtle Beach SC, Yolanda Lawson Hedman of Marion SC; a host of nephews: Andrew Jones Jr., Marvin (Rochelle) Jones of Mullins SC, Warren (TeQuilla) Butler of Virginia and Tony Nelson of Mullins SC; her best friends of 38 years Valerie Livingston Weaver and Mr. Willie Garner.
Gertrude will be greatly missed and foever remembered by all that she came in contact with.
