Franklin Davis

Franklin B. Davis was born January 28, 1970 in Marion, SC. He was the son of the late Lee Davis of Centenary and Bertha Davis. Franklin departed this life on Monday, December 26, 2022 at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, SC.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents James "JC" and Ardella Green, his paternal grandparents Charlie Brunson and Nether ReedDavis. Franklin attended Terrell's Bay High School and graduated in 1988. While in school, he was a member of the Marching Wildcats Band and a member of the basketball team. After high school, he found work at Sara Lee Hosiery where he remained until its closing.

He leaves to cherish fond memories, his mother, Bertha Davis of the home; four children Jessica Davis of Rains SC, Jerrell Blackwell and Neka Gause, both of Marion SC, and Jai-la Davis of Charleston SC; two brothers Carlnell Barrett of Fayetteville NC and Leo Reed of Centenary SC; one sister Shavonne Williams of Jacksonville FL; seven grandchildren; five aunts Louise Green of Rains SC, Earlean (James) Miller of Penderboro Community, Marion SC, Dorothy Miller of Rains SC, Diane Brunson and Charlene Brunson, both of Centenary SC; two uncles James Green of Rains SC and Ralph Brunson of Centenary SC; a special cousin whom loved him like a brother Johnny "Red" Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
