Florine W. Tyler

Florine W. Tyler was born 3/18/1936 to the late Johnny and Dessie Mae Harris Watson.  Florine was the youngest of ten siblings, six brothers and three sisters all deceased.  She graduated from Helen Gurl Jr. High School.  (Parrott, Georgia)  In 1957 she moved to Newark, NJ and continued her career in Watchung, NJ where she became a CNA for 26 years at John Runnells Hospital.  She was married to the late Raymond Smith Tyler who proceeded her in death in 1998.  She was the mother of five children, Larry Hagan(Pam), Amos Leon Green, Elaine Green, Marvin Green, and Ramona McNeil (Michael).  She had four step- children Patsy Turner, Raymond Tyler (Ann), Clarence Tyler (Gwen), and Kenny Tyler. 

She worked at Jenkins Nursing Home and Mullins Nursing Center for six years.  Florine joined the  Metropolitan Seventh Day Adventist Church in 1980 under the leadership of Pastor Stephen Boyce.  After moving to SC, she transferred to Mount Olive Seventh Day Adventist Church.  She had a loving niece who proceeded her in death.  Her name was Ruby (Lonnie) Reaves Sr.  She has eighteen grandchildren.  One God-daughter Helencia (China) Page. She had two special nieces Marilyn McMullin (Charlie) of Powder Springs, GA, Cynthia Reaves (Lonnie) Reaves Jr of Mullins, SC. Three special spiritual children Helena Page, Coleen Graves, and Abiola Valentine.  Two close friends were Janie Bell Willard and Shirley Cribb Matlock.  Two special nephews whom she loved like they were her sons: Charlie Grier (Sandy) and Timmy Bolton (Maxine).  Three first cousins Thomas Harris, Alice Williams (Lawrence),  Frank Harris (Pearl) and a host of great grands, nieces, nephews, god kids and friends.

Florine used to tell everyone she met to get their life right with Christ because you do not know the hour or day God will call, so be ready.
