Egerton Bennett 99, of Summerville, South Carolina, formally of Mullins, South Carolina passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Summerville, Medical Center in Summerville, SC.

Deacon Egerton Bennett was born on September 29, 1918 in Belmont, Kingston Jamaica to the late Hezekiah and Lelitia Scott Bennett.  He was preceded in death by his wife Annie Mae Platt Bennett, three brothers: Uriah, Amos, Alva; three sisters: Alice Maude, Edna Ruby and Lynette.  Also two step daughters: Winnie Mae King (Earl, deceased) and Mattie Rebecca Childs (Frank, deceased).

He was united in marriage to Annie Mae Platt Bennett in September 1971 until her passing in May 2006.
