Easter Carter-White affectionately known as “Boot” was born on April 20, 1933 in Marion County, South Carolina to the late Harry and Ollar Graves. She attended school in Brittons Neck, South Carolina where she graduated high school. Early in life she joined the Bethel AME church family. During her working years, Easter was employed at Southern Packing in Mullins, South Carolina for over 30 years where she went on to serve as a supervisor until she retired.
Easter had a loving spirit and a giving heart. She loved to crochet, make soap and to sit on her porch where she could be found smiling and talking to all who came by to visit. She loved people and was always giving of herself and willing to help others.
She peacefully departed this earthly life on Monday, December 21, 2020 at home with her family in Mullins, South Carolina.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her first husband, Douglas Carter; son, John Raymond Carter; grandson, Douglas Smith; great grandson, Langston Foxworth; brother, Arthur “Buddy” Graves; brother in law, Charles Great; sister in laws: Sandra Walters, Carrie Mae Brown, Geneva Lyles, Azalee White, Ravena Small and Inez Green.
She leaves to cherish her fond and loving memories her second husband, Walter White of New York; one daughter, Brenda (Christopher) Joe of Mullins, SC; one granddaughter, Cherelle (Bruce) Foxworth of Mullins, SC; one great granddaughter, Janeya “Peach” Foxworth of Mullins, SC; one brother, James Arthur (Eleanor) Graves of Mullins, SC; sister in laws: Brenda (Ernest) Walters, Lillie (James) McCray, Patty (Willie) Brown, Barbara (Anthony) Campbell, Dorothy Walters, Brookie Walters, all of Loris, SC, Mary Graves of Mullins, SC, Betty Graves of Mullins, SC; Brother in Laws: Wade (Gwen) Walters, James (Ritamae) Walters, Jimmy Walters, Sammie Jr. Walters all of Loris, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
