Earnest Samuel, Jr.

On June 15, 2023, Earnest “Bo” Lee Samuel, Jr. entered into eternal rest.  Earnest was born June 20, 1945 in Lynchburg, SC to the late Earnest and Bertha Mae Samuel.

Earnest was educated in Lee County Public School System.  Earnest held various jobs, including his favorite job at Bella Vista Condo as the head engineer.  He worked there until his retirement in 2017.

Earnest favorite pastime was going to different casinos with his wife Bertha Clea who he sometimes call “Bootsie.”  Earnest also loved to take that trip to South Carolina to visit his children and his two baby sisters whom he loved.  If you needed anything such as fixing a leak, unstopping pipes, working on your car, needing a ride, Earnest was there for you with no question asked.  Earnest was a respectable and loving husband.  He was a loving brother, uncle and Dad.

Earnest is survived by his loving wife, Bertha Clea Samuel; his  three children: Pamela Robinson, Billy Wayne and Tyrone (Glenda) Samuel; his lovely sisters Minnie Bunch, Alberta Solomon, Sadie Solomon; one brother Walter Solomon (Helen); one sister-in-law Rosetta Samuel; four step-children David Clea, Leon Clea, Andre Clea, Minnie Clea.

Earnest had a total of 25 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews; his best friends Robert Lee Dicks, David Lowery, Joe Edmonds to cherish his memories.

Earnest was preceded in death by his parents Earnest Sr. and Bertha Mae Samuel; brothers Bernest and Gerome Samuel, Herbert Solomon; sisters Margaret Samuel, Earnestine Jones, and Mammie Phillips.
