Diana Leonard was born on October 28, 1953 in Mullins, South Carolina to the late DeWitt and Ruth Timmons, who preceded her in death. She was the youngest of 16 Children. She attended the Marion County Schools. Diana was married to the late James Allen Leonard, who preceded her in death. They had no children, but all her nieces and nephews felt like they were her own. Later in life she met a special friend, Dallas Davis, who preceded her in death, the both of them loved to play board games. She also loved cooking, shopping, fishing, and working on the beach.
Late in life, she became seriously ill and resided in the Sunny Acres Nursing Home, where she became friends with many of the residents. She passed away at the McLeod Dillon Hospital. Prior to her death, she was getting to know her Heavenly Father, Jehovah God and His Son, Jesus Christ as she was having a regular Bible study until her death.
She leaves to cherish her memory; five sisters and four brothers: Sarah Watson of Newport News, Virginia, Mollie Mae (Chancelor) Johnson of Mullins, South Carolina, Gwendolyn Lane of Hartsville, Alabama, Corinne(Lee) Moody of Mullins, South Carolina, Cora Lee Ellison of Mullins, South Carolina, Franklin (Annie Esther) Timmons of Mullins, South Carolina, Dewitt(Mary Louise) Timmons of Clayton New Jersey, Levern (Geraldine) Timmons of Mullins, South Carolina, John Robert(Loretta) Timmons of Delaware, Maryland.
Preceding Diana in death were her three brothers: Cornelius, Raymond, and Oscar Timmons; and three sisters: Arabel Timmons, Isolene Holiday, and Georgia Mae McDowell. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
