Dexter Grant

On Tuesday morning of June 22nd, Dexter Glendale Grant gained his wings! To those close to him Dexter was called Dee. Born on Jan 15, 1996 to Jamel McCallum of Loris, South Carolina and Jewell Grant of Mullins South Carolina Dexter was blessed to have a double portion of love and support from his Uncle Ross Gerald and the late Aunt Ella Gerald whom helped with raising him.

 Dexter was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jannie Mae McCullum.

Dexter leaves to cherish his fond memories. His mother Jewell Grant of NC and his Father Jamel McCallum of NC, his Grandmother Gwendolyn Herring of NC, His Grandfather Steven (Diane) Stokes of North Carolina His great grandmother Sallie Bowen’s of SC. and his Grandmother Sandra Stokes of NC with 5 sisters, Keyonna, Mahogany, Cerenity, Yodney, Vicky, Jireh and Sydney. 5 brothers Jamel, Rasheed, Jaden, Julian, Keyshawn, and Mario Briston. 7 Aunts , Karon Grant, Valoria (Howard) Campbell, Angela Grant, Tiffany Stokes, Sheena Waddell Felicia Leonard and Monea McIntosh and Sheena 7 uncles, Demetrius and Chris Grant , Demarco Presley, Eric McCallum, Shawn and Robert Stokes, Steven Stokes and Darrnel Lewis. One very special Aunt, Debra Briston (Ma) and two special cousins Dequan and Kuron Grant. Dexter attended Mullins High School in Mullins SC with the interest of furthering his education in culinary arts.

There never was a dull moment when Dexter was around. He wanted everyone to be happy. He was such an outgoing caring person. He loved his family dearly.
