Curtistine Mason Obituary

Curtistine Legette Mason departed this earthly life on Tuesday evening, December 29, 2020 at 8:45 p.m.  She was the daughter of the late Clestine Legette Richburg. She was reared by her grandparents, the late Alex and Leatha Legette. Curtistine was born on June 1, 1959 in Mullins, South Carolina.

 

She attended the Marion County Public Schools in Mullins, South Carolina and was a member of the graduating class of 1977 of Mullins High School.

 

Curtistine was employed with Marvel Lightning Company in Mullins, South Carolina for a number of years.  She was married to Richard Mason.

 

Curtistine was a fun loving person who loved to cook. Her cousins would always say Curt can cook anything because anything she cooked tasted good!

 

In 2005 Curtistine became ill and became a patient at Faith Nursing Center in Florence, South Carolina; and for the past three years she was a patient at Commander Nursing Center in Florence, South Carolina. 

 

Curtistine was preceded in death along with her mother and grandparents; her husband: Richard Mason.

 

Curtistine leaves to cherish her fond and loving memories ~ two sisters: Mae Frances R. Garcia and Kay Frances Richburg; a niece: Kianna Richburg; a great nephew: Jariek Richburg all of Mullins, SC; five aunts: Darlene Grant, Sylvia Ann Davis of Mullins, SC, Ethel Lee Squire, Virginia Ford both of Baltimore, MD and Annie Jean Prescott of Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Curtistine, we love you with all our hearts.

If only at this time we did not have to part;

You’ve always been kind and oh so dear,

we know deep down you will always be near;

so sleep on Curt and take your rest,

you know that we love you,

but God knows BEST. . .
