On September 15, 1945, in Nichols, South Carolina, Clinton Murray Sr. was born to the late Calvin and Olivet Murray. He attended Marion County Schools and graduated from Palmetto High School.
He later met and married Vivian Ford (Murray). From this union, they had six sons and one daughter. Clinton was a faithful member of William Chapel A.M.E. Church, Nichols, SC. He served as a Trustee, a member of the Senior choir and finance committee.
Clinton was affectionately known as Granddaddy or Papa and he will be missed so much. We will always keep his memories alive while recalling how funny and witty he was.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Reverend Lavern Murray; a sister Gloria Jean Fullard, and grandson Anthony Murray Jr.
Clinton leaves precious and fond memories to his wife, Vivian Murray, his children: Anthony Murray of Mullins South Carolina, Matthew Murray (Ursula) of Mullins, South Carolina, Clinton Murray Jr (Lisa) of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Miguel Murray of Mullins, South Carolina, Andra Murray (Tiffany) of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Tierra Palmer of Raleigh, North Carolina, Demetrius Palmer (Kirstyn) of Spartanburg, South Carolina; twenty-eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a sister Ollie Ruth Canary of New Bedford, Massachusetts, and loving sister in- law Linda Murray of Camden South Carolina, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, & friends.
