Clifton Bennett

OBITUARY

In his last day, the Lord called Clifton Bennett home to rest on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at MUSC Health Medical Center in Florence, SC.  He was raised by his father and his loving sister, Edna Bennett Gerald, who raised him as her own son.  Clifton Bennett was born July 16, 1954 to the late Sam Bennett and Ella May Benbow in Marion County, SC. 

Clifton had no children.  He never went to school.  He was never able to talk and he had never marry.  Out of all that, he tried so hard to fit it.

Preceded him in death were his parents and two brothers: Henry Bennett and Thomas Bennett.

He leaves to morn his passing five brothers: Jimmy Lee Bennett of Georgia, Johnny Bennett, Mitchell Bennett, Eddie (Jackie) Bennett, Franklin (Evelina) Bennett, all of Marion SC; eight sisters: Gertrude Booth of Piscataway NJ, Edna B. Gerald of Mullins SC, Sadie Bennett of Georgia, Iris Gerald of Mullins SC, Barbara Jennings of Mullins SC, Shelia (Sam) Godbolt of Georgia, Metshell (David) Foxworth of Marion SC, Teresa (Jessie) Washington of Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Clifton had been through so much, but he was a strong fighter.  Rest in peace now my brother.
