Clarence Cross

Clarence Edward Cross was the son of the late Edward and Clara Mae Cross. He was born on December 2, 1958 in Marion County, South Carolina. He departed this earthly life on Friday, June 4, 2021 at MUSC in Marion, South Carolina.

Clarence received his former education at Rains Centenary High School in Marion County, South Carolina. After high school he joined his father in the family business Cross Construction as a brick mason. Later, in life he went on to other job opportunities including: Kunja Manufacturing for five years and Wellman Inc. for thirteen years. In 2003 Clarence started his own business, Cross Vaults. He was running the business until his health failed. Clarence was a member of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Alvin C. Robinson.

Clarence leaves to cherish his legacy and wonderful memories ~ two daughters: Clarmetrice Cross and Shameka {Donald} Davis both of Marion, SC; two sons: Roshawn Vereen and Antron Vereen both of Marion SC; three grandchildren: Shaliah Wilson, Dondre' Davis and Christian Vereen; five brothers: Willie {Brenda Faye} Cross of  Rains, SC, James {Henrietta} Cross,  Laverne {Lou Brenda} Cross, Larry {Ann} Cross and  Johnny Cross all of Marion, SC; three sisters:  Linda {Henry} Spry of Rains SC, Mary Ann {Jerry} Williams and Brenda Lee Cross both of Marion SC; his best-friend of thirty-one years: Sharon Fuller and special friend: Sonya Dixon and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
