Deacon Charley Walton “aka Charley Boy” was born May 9, 1951 in Miami, Florida to the late Jerome and Israel Lee. He was educated in the Miami Florida public school system. He was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Nathaniel Walton.
Deacon Walton was saved, sanctified, baptized in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Ghost under the Leadership of Bishop Benjamin Franklin Carter, Sr. and Mother Norma Carter of Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church in Miami Gardens, Florida. As a result of becoming a member of Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church, he was ordained as Deacon and served as a Sunday School Teacher. He was also a part of the church’s Music Ministry; he played the guitar and faithfully served in whatever other capacity needed for many years. He and his wife, Truemiller (Trudy) relocated to Marion, South Carolina in 2015. They found a new church home with Restored Remnant Revival and Deliverance Center in Mullins, South Carolina, where Jeramy Ludd is Pastor. Deacon Walton continued his services as Deacon and playing the guitar until his health declined.
Deacon Walton was joined together in Holy Matrimony with Truemiller (Trudy) Harris Walton on February 3, 1995 in Miami, Florida. He leaves to cherish fond memories and is survived by his wife, Trudemiller (Trudy), their children and his six siblings. This union was blessed with a blended family of nine children: Ronnie Ford, Charley (Chantel) Walton, Jr., Charlene (Jawaun) Blackmon, Jerome (Shecka) Walton, Phillip Walton, Alonzo Williams, , Ebonie Kelley, Harry Kelley, Jr. and Mahazioth Williams; his siblings: Alphonso Martin, Jerome (Mary) Walton, Cleveleve (Diane) Walton, Rosetta Simmons, Annie Hill, and Neomi (James) Knight along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
