Egbert Charles Thompson was born on January 19, 1964, to the late Edith Thompson and Curtis Norwood in Atlantic City, New Jersey. On January 19, 2023, God called Charles home to be with him. As a newborn his mother died. Due to his father being blind and unable to give him and his older brother the care that young children needed, he became the son of his mother's loving sister and her husband, the late Lucy Genwright and Moses Genwright, who he always known as mom and dad.
Charles leaves to cherish his loving memory, devoted wife of 39 years and childhood sweetheart since the age of 13, Mary Vaughn Thompson. After the death of Hazel Vaughn, they became the parents of their only child Richard Jordan Vaughn, of Pleasantville, New Jersey.
