Bishop James Cleveland Scott was born on April 4th, 1949. Departed this life June 2nd, 2022, peacefully in McLeod Hospice Center.
He attended Marion County schools. At an early age he dedicated his life to Christ. In 1982, Pastor James C. Scott attended an apostolic conference in Darlington, SC. During the conference, he was moved by the Spirit of God to start a church of his own.
Bishop Scott and his family started a small church in a small building in Marion, SC. People who were passing by stopped and joined the services. It was not long before the church outgrew the confines of the walls. Bishop Scott decided to purchase a larger building to accommodate the congregation. He and his members moved into Faith Apostolic Church in Jesus Christ, Inc.
He will join his Father James Reaves and Mother Iola Scott, Sister Henrietta Worley, Brothers Gregory & Herbert Scott. He leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories with his wife Florine, and two sons James (Stacey) and Arthur. The Faith Apostolic Church Deacons, Mothers, Sisters, God Sons and God Daughters who stood by him to the very end.
