Anthony "Sam" Leonard

Anthony “Sam” Leonard was born on November 16, 1977 to the late Clopell Rhodes and Nancy Leonard. Sam was called to his heavenly home on April 12, 2023. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alex Leonard and maternal grandparents Pearlie and Inez Leonard.

Sam graduated from Mullins High School in 1997 and attended Florence Darlington Technical College and obtained his welding certification. He worked at Piggy Wiggly until his health began to fail. He joined Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He loved the Lord and served faithfully on the Deacon Board.

Sam leaves to cherish fond memories, his wife Regina and daughter Morgan; two stepsons; Sean Jeffrey Gilchrist and Jordan Williams, both of whom he loved as his own; his mother, Nancy Leonard and stepfather Willie Rembert; mother in law, Marilyn Bennett; one brother in law, Gene Bennett, Jr; one aunt Linda Murray; 2 uncles, Pearlie Jerome Leonard and Arnold Leonard; three cousins who were raised as siblings, Willie Platt, Shanique (Clarence) Davis and Tonya Platt; one special little cousin, Kristen Davis; best friend Stacey Godfrey and a host of great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
