Anthony Gamble

Mr. Anthony Gamble, son of the late Mammon and Erdiemae Gamble, was born January 14,1957 in Buffalo, New York. On Friday, September 17, 2021, He departed this life at Mcleod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC.  He was preceded in death by his brother Richard Williams Jr, his sister Cynthia Parker, His sons at birth; Anthony Gamble Jr, Anthony Gamble II, and His Granddaughter; Promise Ne’veah Gamble. He received his education in Baltimore City Public Schools. He served in the Army National Guard and was stationed in Fort Benning, Georgia. For many years of his life, he worked at Johns Hopkins University. He spent his free time volunteering at church as a security guard.

Anthony loved spending quality time with his grandchildren, going for walks, flying kites, and playing frisbee.  He also enjoyed listening to music, crabbing and fishing with his children, playing games with friends, and riding his bike. His family remembers him as strong , outgoing, and always willing to help. He never met a stranger and if he did, there was always a joke to tell.  Most of all, Anthony LOVED HIS MAE!!!

Anthony and Williemae Gamble were married in Baltimore, Maryland on October 13, 1979. The two were loving and devoted for 42 years.  Anthony’s memories will be cherished by his only surviving aunt; Persena Gamble Stewart, his sister Cynthia (Melvin) Eley,  7 children Gashia (Antonio) Rasado, Maelena (Deve’unt) Hopkins, Maelisha Gamble, Antoniamae (Mark) Hampton, Anthony Gamble III, Antoniolen (Kendra) Gamble, Aaron Richard James Gamble; 15 grandchildren Tyvon, Jazmine, Jakyren, Amir, Aiden, Amoni, McKenzie, Aryonia, Kayla, Kyrei, Kingston, Montell, August, Braxton, and Kayden. In addition to a host of nieces , nephews, other relatives, and friends.
