Alice Faye Lewis, affectionately known as Faye, departed this life on Thursday morning January 25, 2024. Born to the late Jessie and Jennie (Jones) Lewis on June 20, 1953; she was the youngest of their three children.
Faye was baptized at an early age and joined New Ebenezer A.M.E. Church in Mullins. She was a graduate of Mullins High School then continued her education at Allen University in Columbia SC. Faye worked in multi-sectors (food, health care, and hospitality industries) prior to retiring. Her work took her to Detroit and Atlanta before returning to Mullins and working in the hospitality industry. Faye was a very private person, with strong personal boundaries but a loving heart. She cared about her community, and took pride in her home and neighborhood.
Preceding her in death were her siblings – Johnny and Terry, and her niece Ebony. The suddenness of Faye’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Faye leaves to cherish her found and loving memories her cousins: Linda (Jay) Stallings of Atlanta, Glen (Sharon) Davis and Carlton (Grace) Davis of Mullins, Samuel Reginald Shaw and Dorian Carter of Detroit, her grandnieces: Chelsea Godbold and Ashley Lewis of Mullins, and a number of other cousins, nephews, and friends, especially her friend Mary Gerald who helped care for her during her illness.
Rest in peace, Faye - you were loved and you will be missed.
