Mary “Tootsie” (Smith) Graham, born on June 18, 1954 in Mullins, South Carolina, to the late Flora W. and late Sigmon Smith, passed away at age 65 in the early morning on June 22, 2019 at MUSC Hospital in Marion.
Mary and Freddie Graham Mills married on July 14, 1970 in Mullins, SC. Together they raised 4 children: Michael T. Smith, Fred (Tammy) Graham, Debbie (Reginald) Donnelly, and Leroy Graham. Mary is survived by Debra R. Hayes, sister and Terry Smith, brother, sister in law, Diane (David) Kelly, Brenda C. Joe, ten grandkids- Fred D. Graham, Tony Graham, Jewel Mobley, Joel Mobley, Tamera Graham, Hakeem Graham, Reginald Donnelly Jr., Kali Donnelly, Zakaria Graham, and Zakaylee Graham. Special son Earnell Legette. Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Sigmon (Linda) Smith, and sisters, Gloria Jean (Jerry) Graham, Mae Vern (David) Bowens, Douglas Smith, nephew and Cerria Reaves, niece.
Mary worked as a Quality Control Clerk at SO PAK CO until retiring in 2016. She also worked at Robinson Dreamland. Mary loved cooking and spending time with family. She was well known for her spicy soul chicken bog- often preparing it for any occasion or celebration or when asked by her nephews and niece. Often you could find her sitting on the front porch with her cousins Kay and Mae Godbolt or traveling to visit with Geraldine Graham.
