Lillie Mae Page Sandiford Obituary

     Lillie Mae Sandiford, 75, passed away on Thursday, October 17 at 2:21 AM; in Florence, SC. She was the wife of Billy Sandiford (Deceased). They shared 36 years of marriage together.

     Lillie Mae Sandiford was born in Mullins, SC. She was the daughter of Lawrence and Lillie Kate Page. She attended Palmetto High School in Mullins. She moved to New York City and was employed at the United States Postal Service, GPO, in Manhattan, NY. She worked as a postal clerk, for the federal government, for over 20 years to then retire from the Post Office.

     She was a proud member of the Palmetto High School Alumni Association, in which she absolutely loved being involved with. Her donations to the graduating seniors, for college, was one of her favorite things to do. It was a priority of hers to help those that wanted to go to college. She also donated to the Wounded Warrior Foundation. Lillie Mae had many hobbies. Her favorite and most enjoyable was reading. She will be remembered for her selfless nature and how she impacted anyone that came in contact with her. Her personality was infectious. She truly cared about everyone’s well-being, regardless if it was family, or someone she met for the very first time.

     She is survived by her son, Billy Brahms Sandiford II and daughter-in-law, Julia Anne Sandiford. 3 Grandchildren; Noah Craik Sandiford, Ayla Michelle Sandiford, and Levi Brahms Sandiford. 2 Sisters; Flora Jean Jenkins and Reba Lee Lewis. 2 Brothers; Franklin Page and Dwight Page. She was preceded by her mother; Lillie Kate Page, father; Lawrence Page, and eldest brother; Clifton Page.
