Obituary
Mr. James Edward White, Sr, better known as “Boo Nanny” departed this life on May 21, 2018 in the McLeod Regional Medical Center, Dillon, SC after a long illness.
Some years ago he received Jesus as his savior. James was born April 9, 1939 to the late Sylvester White, Sr and Elizabeth White in Centenary, SC. He attended the public schools of Marion County. He served as a school bus driver in high school. He was employed by the Marvel Light Company for many years where he retired. Three siblings preceded him in death: a brother, Sylvester White, Jr and two sisters, Jessie Lee Moore and Willie Dean Reaves.
In 1963, James was joined in marriage to Ms. Velma Lee Cribb and to this union three children were born: Audrey, James Jr. and Gregory.
He leaves to cherish his memory four children: Audrey (Levern) Page of Charlotte, NC, James Jr. (Paulette) White, Gregory (Terri) White, Tabitha Reaves, all of Mullins, SC; Eight grandchildren: Anthony, Jamaal, Jamar, Jasmine, Cyle, Tiffany, Sherrie and Caleb; two great-grandsons: Noah and Luke; one aunt: Fredrenia Pee of Centenary, SC; one brother: Cleveland White of Mullins, SC; two sisters: Patricia (Otis) Williams of Mullins, SC, Taffy White of Florence, SC; a host of family members and friends; two special friends: Ralph Hayes and B.J. Campbell; and he also leaves to cherish memories of the good times, a special family member.
