Georgia Mae Ford Ellerbe

Georgia Mae Ford Ellerbe, also known as Joyce, 79. was born on January 12, 1939 and quietly departed this life answering heaven's call on February 20, 2018.

Georgia attended school in Laurinburg, NC, where she lived until she made Brooklyn, New York her home.  She was an adoring wife and a great god mother who loved to shop for beautiful things and she loved bowling.  Bowling was her favorite pasttime.  She bowled in a league and she has the trophies to show that she mastered the game.

Georgia was preceded in death by he mother and father, her two brothers-one of whom was the Rev. McCall of Saint Paul Baptist Church of Brooklyn, New York of which she attended.

Georgia leaves to cherish her fond memories, her husband, Fred Ellerbe; her mother-in-law: Ruby Lee Ellerbe, three sisters-in-law: Mary Strickland, Eluise Garrett, Hattie Wannamaker, two god-daughters: Joyce Wanamaker and Keshia Rogers; and a host of nieces and nephew, great nieces and great nephew that she loved dearly.
