Brittany Chisholm

Brittany Marisa Chisholm was born on September 5, 1989 in Mullins, Sc. She was the daughter of Earnest and Maria Legette. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Chester Legette, and her maternal grandparents, Julius and Mary Glover. She transitioned to her eternal home on September 26, 2019 from Prisma Health Baptist Hospital in Columbia, SC.

 "Buttercup", as she was affectionately called, graduated from Mullins High School in 2007. She went on to receive her degree in Early Childhood Development from Florence Darlington Technical College in 2012.

Brittany was employed by Ebenezer Baptist Church as a child-care specialist. Her love for children led her to start her own business, "Miriam's Bows and Tutus". She loved interior home decor, also creating and sharing various works of art. She was later employed by David's Bridal in Columbia, SC as a personal stylist and seamstress. Brittany was joined in holy matrimony to Joshua E. Chisholm in August of 2015. Together, they enjoyed four wonderful years at wedded bliss.

Brittany accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age. She was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. She was an active member of the Bride Tabernacle of Jesus Christ Church in Columbia, SC. Brittany was a loving, kind, and caring person. She was a devoted wife, tremendous daughter, loyal sister and a compassionate friend. Her personality encapsulated the love of Jesus. She was loved by all who knew her.

Brittany leaves to cherish her loving memories: her faithful husband, Joshua Chisholm; her parents, Earnest and Maria Legette of Mullin, SC; her brothers, TyShaun (Heritha) Legette of Augusta, GA, Nathaniel Hamilton of Charlotte, NC, and Earnest (Charlette) Legette of Columbia, SC; her sisters, Rachel (Julius) Hinton of Durham, NC, Bria (Jonathan) Conner of Four Oaks, NC, Christie Davis of Marion, SC, Kenyel Fladger of Lexington, SC, Shavone Elmore of Mullins, SC, Crystal (Anthony) Shank of Charlotte, NC, Delvorine (Gordon) Tate of Columbia, SC, Yakita (Perry) Bessant of St. Petersburg, VA, and April Smith of Mullins, SC; one god-daughter Ayonna Mitchell; her mother- in-law Aranetta Boyd of Newberry, SC; her grandmother, Ida Mae Legette of Mullins, SC and Margaret Moozie of Newberry, SC; her sisters-in-law, Anita (Pernell) Gary of Columbia, SC, and Adrianna Chisholm of Columbia, SC; her brother-in-law James Chisholm of Columbia, SC; special mothers, Cynthia Simmons, Elouise Bessant, and Renee Simmons; very special aunts, Amie (Lorenzo) Brown, and Joyce Myers; a very special friend Christian (Damiene) Rogers and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
