Anthony Legette Obituary

And he said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the fountain of the water of life without payment.  He who conquers shall have this heritage, and I will be his God and he shall be my son. Revelation 21:6-7

Anthony  Legette,  the  son  of  Louise  Spry  Legette  and  the  late  Lonnie Legette Jr., was given the blessing of birth October 29, 1965 in Marion, SC. On Monday morning, March 25, 2019 God reclaimed his own.  He attended the public schools of Marion, SC and was a member of the Class of 1984.

Anthony possessed a friendly outgoing personality and a generous spirit.  He was famous for his much sought- after barbequed pigs on the grill.

He was industrious and enjoyed working with his hands.  He loved working on cars and was employed with Collins Motors for 34 years. He was more than their #1 one mechanic, he was family.

He was married to Anita Reaves Legette (previously deceased), and this union was blessed with four children:  Anthony Xavier, Antia Anique, Jim Donovan Jerrard (Deanna), & Cierra Simone. He also nurtured as  his  own  Monique”Reyna”  Parks  (Keith),  April  Guerra (deceased),  Rondie  Rowell,  &  George  Page, Shannon Nelson and Juain Nelson.

Anthony was a member of the Saint Paul Baptist Church, Inc and Palmetto Lodge # 397 where he served as secretary.

He was an avid sports fan, supporting the Dallas Cowboys and South Carolina Gamecocks.  He was really proud of the fact that Anthony Xavier will be joining the Gamecock ranks.
