Sister Linda Gale Gerald was called to eternal rest on Wednesday March 20, 2024, at Marion County Hospital. Linda was born on October 2, 1949, to the Late Reverend Hassie Gerald and the late Mother Essie Gerald.
Linda was educated in the public schools of Marion County. She held jobs throughout her life, but her lifelong passion was being a caretaker for her family. She dedicated her life to dutifully caring for her elderly family members.
Early in life Linda accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior attending New Hope Holiness Church most of her life. Linda was a member of the Exciting Gerald Sisters. Linda and her sisters toured the country for over two decades singing and spreading the gospel of Jesus. Linda loved her family and took personal pride in spoiling countless children in her care. She was an outstanding Aunt and loved nothing more than seeing the smiles on the faces of her nieces and nephews. Linda was a second Mother to Jeremy, Lil Kev and Na’Kevia.
In addition to her loving parents, her brothers Gary (Emma Jean) Gerald, O’Neal (Fronnie) Gerald, Aubrey (Lucille) Gerald, Carel (Mabel) Gerald, her sister Doris (Sylvester) Brown, all preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish fond memories, Her sisters Miriam Gerald and Betty Dukes. Her nieces and nephews whom she loved like her own Kevin Gerald (Dee-Dee), Jeremy Dukes, of the home. Tiffaney Brown and Ashelee Brown. Her grand nieces and nephews Kennedi Muldrow, Peyton Robinson, Joshua Brewington, Kevin Gerald Jr, Na’Kevia Gerald, Dylan Brown and Logan Brown. And a host of other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
