Maggie Mae Johnson departed this life on Wednesday, March 07, 2018 at Sunny Acers Nursing Home in Fork, South Carolina. Born April 09, 1939 in Marion County, she was the third of five children born to the union of the late Dea. Hyman Davis Sr. and Mother Bessie Davis.
Affectionately known as “Maggie”, she received her education in the public schools of Marion County. She was employed as a CNA for many years at Jenkins Nursing Home before retiring. She then became a caregiver to various family members until her health failed.
Maggie gave her life to God at an early age and served faithfully at the House of God Zion for many years. She later became a member at Outreach Fellowship under the leadership of the late Pastor, Connie Dickerson. She later became a member at Harvest Time Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Chris and Pastor Eartha Edwards.
Maggie was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Evangelist Bessie Ceo, a brother, Hyman Davis Jr., two sisters, Margie Phillips and Mae Bell Green, a granddaughter Connie Woodberry, a grandson Freddie L. Woodberry III, and a nephew, Chris Mercer. She leaves to cherish her fond memories; two sons- Bill (Sabrina) Johnson and Timothy (Octavia) Johnson both of Marion, SC, Three daughters- Beatrice (Fredrick) McNeil, Theresa Woodberry, and Patricia (Sherman) Johnson all of Mullins, SC, One son-in-law- Furman Ceo of Mullins, SC, one brother- Freddie (Dorothy) Davis of Marion, SC, One brother-in-law, Jasper Phillips of Mullins, SC, One special friend- Matt Johnson of Latta, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
